If you’re out traveling and and want to know what the weather is like, I would recommend using the Yahoo Weather app. The Yahoo Weather app and Yahoo Weather desktop displays photos of different weather conditions in places around the world. They do this by using photos from Flickr members. Since we here at Umbrella are Flickr members and we have some photos from around the world, you can find our work on there. So keep an eye out, you just might see something that looks familar when you check the weather. Here is a handful of our work on there.

Umbrella Photo had the pleasure of taking some engagement photos of the happy couple Evan and Nicole a couple weeks ago in anticipation for their summer wedding this year. The couple wanted to try something different, incorporating their dogs and baseball into their engagement session.
This led to a pretty difficult engagement session… not from the couple themselves, but their themes they chose to go with. Having three dogs between Umbrella Photo (Steve has one and Jessie has two), we have gone through tons of trial and error with the turnover rates of dog photos being pretty slim. Also, who takes baseball themed photos in the middle of winter? The baseball fields look pretty rough in the winter, not to mention it was 30-40 degrees farenheit out with 10-20 mph winds!
All in all, I think the engagement session turned out great, plenty of good photos of the happy couple! Here are a couple of them, and follow the link on our facebook page for the rest of the photos.

It has been a while since Umbrella Photo has posted onto the blog. We are working towards getting a new website up and running, and also some various ground work needed for the upcoming year. We have a ton of backlogged photos to get to, and I wanted to first show off some pics of my cousin’s first birthday party (baby Natalie). You may recognize the family, because they were one of the first featured items on the blog when her big sister turned one (Olivia).

Umbrella Photo spent the day on a bus trip in NYC this weekend. When we first got there, we were amazed by the amount of Santa Claus’ in the city. It turns out there was a Santa Convention where they all went on a pub crawl in Manhattan during the day, and then Brooklyn at night. Although I didn’t take many Santa shots, here are a few shots from the trip:
